“Liatiko”: our house wine

Our wine is made from 100% Liatiko variety grapes

Liatiko is a Cretan variety, one of the oldest in the Mediterranean. The grapes ripen very early and have a faint red color as their main characteristic.

Our vineyards are located in the village of Veni, in the province of Mylopotamos, in Rethymnon. We make our wine according to ancient and traditional methods, and we do not use any chemical additives.

After pressing the grapes, the must remains with the grains for two days in the press to obtain the tannins, color and aromas (fermentation). Then it is placed in old oak barrels for about two months to mature.

Its consumption begins towards the end of November and its availability is limited.
